Bass Family Farms
Welcome to Bass Family Farms. Here at the farm we are passionate about two things: providing fresh vegetables to the Cedar Rapids / Iowa City community and educating the same great community with the benefits of eating green. We have honed our growing and harvesting process over 25 years to maximize our fields, without using harmful chemicals. We are completely pesticide & herbicide Free! At Bass Family Farms, we bring you the best. Whether it be our top notch CSA, our educational Agri-Tours, or our Specialty Food Store with locally sourced and made sauces, jellies, jams, and honey! We also carry Iowa’s Finest, Edgewood Locker Meat products.
Having a CSA Membership ensures that you get the freshest local AND seasonal produce directly from a farm. With a Bass Farms CSA Membership you also get exclusive access to our herb gardens and pumpkin patch on top of your CSA share! CSA members can also schedule to use our fire-pit, & host private events.

Eating green has never been easier.

Agri Tours
At Bass Family Farms we LOVE what we do. We are always eager to show the community our process for growing chemical free and naturally. Strip out the chemicals, the combines, the machinery, and you’re left with fresh vegetables that are ready to eat! Bring a group out to Mt. Vernon, IA and show them how Bass Family Farms gets down to business.
Visiting the Farm

Visiting the farm is a great way to spend a day. You can come and take a haybale ride through the field, or simply see the planting process. We always love having people stop by; it makes the day a lot more fun! While you’re here, stop by our Specialty Food Store and pick up some sweet local honey!
