Recipe Name: Caramelized Cabbage

Ingredients Measure Method of Preparation
Cabbage, shredded 6 cups
  1. In large sauté pan heat oil then add butter, cabbage, and onion.
  2. Sauté until caramelized and food is starting to stick to the bottom of the sauté pan.
  3. Deglaze with white wine vinegar and add 1 squirt of liquid sweetener.
  4. Season to taste with salt/pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and serve.
Onion, julienne 1 cup
White wine vinegar 1/3 cup
Butter 3 tablespoon
Grape seed oil 1 tablespoon
Liquid sweetener (optional) 1 squirt
Black pepper To taste
Salt/Mrs. Dash To taste


Equipment Needed: rubber spatula, knife, cutting board, sauté pan,


Note: Dark leafy greens such as boc chow can also be added.
