One of the things we try to encourage at the farm is recipe sharing. It just makes the C.S.A. so much more fun. So if you think you have a recipe worth sharing email me. I will post it for all to see.
We were in your pretty little shop this morning stocking up on your Holiday Jam. We love that stuff and I created the following recipe just to showcase it. Thanks so much for the ground beef and the squash too. We’ll enjoy them all and we’ll surely be back soon for more Holiday Jam. All our neighbors will be getting these squares for a Christmas treat.
HOLIDAY JAM OATMEAL SQUARES
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup oats
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 Tablespoons butter, melted
1-10.5 ounce jar of Bass Farms Holiday Jam
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
Add milk a teaspoon at a time until you get a nice drizzling consistency.
With a fork, mix flour, oats, brown sugar and salt. Add melted butter and stir to form clumps.
Sprinkle half of this mixture into the bottom of a well greased 8-inch square baking pan. Press it down
to completely cover the bottom of the pan.
Spread the Holiday Jam over the crust, leaving a half inch border all the way around. Sprinkle the
remaining crumbs over the Holiday Jam.
Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool. Then drizzle
with the frosting.
