Week 3 C.S.A. & Farm Update




I hope everyone has had a great week despite the oppressive heat. It actually feels like I remember the Iowa summers being. Nonetheless it is another great week for veggies. Excessive heat makes the veggies explode with growth. The Kohlrabi are just coming into size and this is the first week for them. They are wonderful and I hope you enjoy them. Many folks eat them peeled, sliced, and raw with salt and pepper. We will start to pick broccoli next as it is so close. Extras are now in the store every week in the coolers and on tables Thursday-Sunday.


Week 3:

  • Purple and/Or White Kohlrabi
  • Savoy Cabbage (getting bigger)
  • Garlic
  • Scapes
  • Purple and/or Crunchy Kale
  • Bok Choy

 Week 3:

    • Oregano

  • Arugula
  • Leeks
